NEW: Taylor Swift Megamix

My new and improved Taylor Swift Megamix has been uploaded to my channel.

I made one about two years ago and I’ve improved since then and she’s released a new album, so I figured it was time to update. Taylor’s music is a bit hard to mix since it’s country and there aren’t as many stems and acapellas available, but I did my best. I tried to represent each era equally, but I did favor the Red era since its songs were the most pop and I really love that album. Seriously, go buy it. It’s really good, probably her best.

This is kind of the last of my projects that I have finished, so I’ll be working on the Kelly Clarkson mix next and that will be out by the end of May, with a preview coming in the next few days.

Favorite Taylor Swift Song: Red

It used to be Fearless, but Red has definitely replaced it. I love most Taylor Swift songs — Enchanted, 22, Mean. It’s rare that there’s one that I just despise (but if I had to say it, it would be Mine. I hate that song and a part of me regrets putting it in the mix.) Anyway, Red is my new favorite Swift song and why I had to include it even though it’s not an official single. Same with Enchanted.

Favorite Taylor Swift Video: I Knew You Were Trouble

I don’t exactly know what’s going on in this video — Taylor meets a guy and he does naughty things like getting pulled over by cops, fights in bars and then something happens at the rave where she’s just like “nuh-uh, but I’mma dance anyway.” Is she upset that he likes this band and it’s not wholesome? Does she do drugs? Does she just pass out from dancing too much? Is Taylor warning me against the evils of partying? I don’t know, but for some reason I like it because she’s gone a little darker than usual. Part of the reason why I don’t like Mine is that it’s video is overly sweet and utterly barf-worthy, so I Knew You Were Trouble is a breath of fresh air for me. Plus that short messy brunette hair looks great on Tay-Tay.
